Our selection criteria
The origin
Printed linings come from Spain, they are supplied by one of our largest suppliers. Plain linings sometimes come from Italy. We make a point of favoring the origin of our fabrics in Europe, although some of our materials, due to specific know-how, may come from other regions.
The fabric
The style team meets to make a selection of the different fabrics. They are initially chosen based on the team's visual preference: a discreet but not too much pattern that adds a little playful touch to the coat. The colors are chosen to harmonize with all the colors in the collection.
For the making of our winter coats, we rely on a 100% polyester lining fabric for quality finishes. This fall/winter 2024 season, the style team has prepared a new range of lining that is both elegant and creative!
Fabric lining: the selection
Depending on the winter coat you covet, the lining will not be the same. Although these fabrics do not have a specific impact on the warmth of your winter coat, it plays an important role in the comfort of your model. On the other hand, the essential function of a lining lies in its aesthetic side.
The discreet lining
This lining with geometric characters exists in sober shades, such as gray and brown. The Buellas coat sports it with a unique refinement. This print brings an additional touch of originality to the Upie coat, already unique with its asymmetrical buttoning.
It is both elegant and rebellious, for chic and comfortable looks, the Buellas coat sports an oversized style with a refined look in all seasons. This is why our teams have chosen this discreet interior fabric for it. You can wear it with loose clothing, for example mom jeans and a sweatshirt, as well as with a shirt and a skirt!
Its asymmetry seduces us, without compromising its warmth: I am talking about the Upie coat . It is THE cozy coat of the collection, thanks to its high collar. In its composition, we find one of our warmest materials: alpaca! With its vintage look, it goes very well with this discreet lining.
The colored lining
Similar to little rainbows, this lining fabric has different colors depending on the coat to which it has been assigned. It can be found on Saou or Thorrenc parkas as well as on more formal coats, such as the Chabottes or Somain model. This original fabric comes in a gradient of cool and warm shades.
The Saou parka is chosen for its comfort and warmth. Its water-repellent fabric and quilted stitching style make it a unique piece for the cold seasons. For this garment, the Trench & Coat team chose this fancy lining to match its cloud shape. After the rain, comes the good weather!
And when the sun comes out, we can finally take out the Chabottes coat , which is adorned with this luminous fabric. Elegant and original, the Chabottes coat is distinguished by its marked waist and its faux fur, giving it a royal look that will make those who have always had the soul of a princess dream!
For a modern style, opt for the Somain coat , whose softness envelops you in warmth. Its straight cut and length adapt to all body types, adding a touch of elegance and modernity to each of your outfits of the season. For your looks with an open coat, we can glimpse the lining fabric, for a more eccentric touch.
The cotton lining
The range of shades of this print reminds us of the paintings of the famous painter, Paul Cézanne. This 100% cotton fabric is not limited to the inside of our coats: you will also find it on the Etival stole and the Chemery shirt. However, this fabric is the special touch of the Roanne coat .
Looking for a beautiful wool coat, but you want a hood: the Roanne coat is at your service! It is adorned with this magnificent cotton fabric as a first lining to guarantee you warmth and comfort.

For several seasons, Trench & Coat has been offering you this type of original fabric. We put a lot of effort into offering you coats with perfect finishes. For mid-season, several of our jackets already featured an original fabric, such as the Chamas cotton trench coat and the Manou polyester jacket.
